Welcome Kayla Trueworthy

WSI is excited to announce its new Administrative Assistant, Kayla Trueworthy. Prior to moving to The Centennial State, Trueworthy lived and worked as an accountant in Maine. She has never worked in the interior design and moving industry but is excited to start her career with WSI.

What is your role at WSI and how long have you worked in the industry?

My role here at WSI is Administrative Assistant. I am new to this industry and have only been in it for about 6 weeks. I was an accountant prior to this.

How long have you worked in accounting and what made you decide to switch from accounting to administration?

I was an accountant for two years before moving here to Colorado and what made me make the switch was the positive energy I felt at WSI. I applied to the Administrative Assistant position not knowing exactly what to expect. Once I met everyone, I knew it was time to make the switch and try something new!

What is your favorite thing about working at WSI?

I would have to say my favorite thing about working at WSI is being able to work with the community and environment at WSI! Our team has a very positive workplace which made my transition to Colorado very pleasant.

What brought you to Colorado?

What brought me to Colorado was my boyfriend’s work. He got offered a job out here so we decided to move out and see what Colorado had to offer!

Where are you from originally?

I am actually from Maine and just moved to Colorado in January. I enjoy outside activities like hiking and camping so Colorado is the perfect location!

What does an average day look like in the life of a WSI Administrative Assistant?

An average day for me here at WSI is a little bit of everything! I work in sales (mostly used furniture but I am starting to get into some new furniture sales as well) and I also assist with putting together orders in our system and making sure everything is received and processed correctly to our manufacturers. I also answer the phones and assist with a little bit of the accounting.

What is your favorite office task and why?

I would have to say my favorite office task would be putting together orders and getting them processed in our system. It is something new I have never done before and I like learning about the different kind of furniture we offer!

WSI is excited to welcome Kayla to the team and watch her grow in this industry. Come by and introduce yourself! She is excited to learn more about WSI, its clients and Northern Colorado!
